It sounds to me like it's really your brother who has the major problem, not you. You are trying to judge yourself by his values, not him by yours, if you know what I mean....

Yeah, he's not a bad person really. I mean, he's always there for his friends and I know if I really needed him he'd be there for me too.

It's just that he's very opinionated and really sure that his side is right.

Mom always said that it was really weird to find out that our loudest arguments were usually us arguing the same point just in such different was that neither one of us could understand that we were agreeing.
