I know!

Plus the locals made the area the kind of place an alligator would like by cleaning their fish there and throwing the remains into the water.

I can't believe adults allowed that area to be used as a swimming hole! It's beyond irresponsible. I just don't get why people can't be smarter when it comes to predators.

But they have guns! That means you don't HAVE to have sense. Though, really, they work best in combination.
