Okay, so the dr wasn't going to get eaten but he was left there thinking he was going to get eaten which was a huge mindfuck. And who knows what the Bistro dudes did with him. Maybe put him in a veal type pen and told him about his new diet to get all fat and succulent.

Although it's never clear exactly what happened to any of them afterward.

But, some people are squicked by the very idea of letting the dr stay in the Bistro and getting hauled away by the bad guys. That Angel let him stay instead of, I don't know, rescuing. Like the dr was somehow a victim in the situation.
