I saw the endrochronologist today. She agrees I have PCOS, she was surprised with my history of irregular periods no doctor brought it up. Basically she said I needed to eat right and exercise to take care of a risk of diabetes or heart disease. I'm getting some blood work down because my PCP didn't fax over my cholesteral levels. I'll see her in a month and get a pap and also talk to her about low level birth control pills. She said it was important to have at least 4 periods a year because that reduces the risk of uterine cancer. She recommended walking 45 minutes or 2-3 miles a day. I'll have to work up to that and focusing more on eating lots of veggies and whole grains and a diet low in fat and salt more than any kind of low carb diet.

Of course right now I'm going to go and eat Chinese.

Ok, Chinese food is not so great for avoiding sodium - but if it's not a buffet, you can ask them to make your order without soy sauce in it, and that may help. But other that that, at least there will be vegetables in the possible choices.

I'm glad you got to see a doctor who will be good to work with. ::hugs::
