Yeah, the crumbles are okay because they're usually in something, not by themselves. The one meat-ish thing I'd recommend is the Morningstar mini corndogs. They kind of rock. Otherwise, IME, meat substitutes are maybe not the way to go. For the barbeque, for instance, Morningstar also makes a spicy blackbean burger that is excellent, and much more satisfying than something that's trying to be meat and falling short. There are lots of other variations out there too, you should be able to find some you like

It's like carob, you know? It would be fine on its own if people didn't keep pretending it tastes just like chocolate.

I've had Morningstar corn dogs before and they were good. I did try some veggie burgers but the texture was weird, but that may have been because I didn't fry them. As long as stuff is on sale I'll keep trying it.
