Yeah, I like Ovechkin, too. But the SO's been a diehard Pens fan for years and years, so it's no surprise that Crosby and Malkin and Staal take it for us. It has been a fun, fun year.

It's that time of the year when teams really start to shake out their playoff status. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

There have been quite a few games online, and the NHL does highlights of just about every game on youtube. It's nice to have the option, although every once in a while I can't get it to go fullscreen.

I know. And with the new improved actually calling the rules game (although it's slipped off some, and will more by playoff time), it's totally not about the fights! For me it's the skill and speed and strength and toughness. There's always something happening in hockey; in basketball only the last two minutes matter, and in football sometimes it's almost as bad. In baseball, nothing happens for most of the game! Hee.

Err, that is to say, I can't get the yahoo games to go fullscreen. The youtube ones never do, I don't think. I haven't messed around with them much.

I love the speed of hockey. The speed and the physicality. I grew up watching football and I do love it, but it's slow. 6 minutes of game time is like 20 minutes in real time. Not to mention the really boring trend that teams with a solid lead at the end of the game just take a knee for the last 30-60 seconds. At least play the game out! I've seen a little of hockey players holding on for the last few seconds of a game, but that's like the last 6 seconds. There's so much hockey that can happen in 60 seconds.

I saw the highlights of the Pens game on Vs, sorry about the loss, it looks like it was a good game.

Totally. 60 seconds is an eternity in hockey. It's half a shift!

Yeah, it was a good game. The SO says that they needed to get beat so they could realize what they're doing wrong. They kept squeaking them out, and not realizing they needed to work.

The Tampa/Florida game wasn't aired (stupid NBA) and I didn't end up listening to it on the radio I had other things going on and it's hard for me to follow hockey on the radio.
