me three, actually, and I am from New York State! I also liked Edwards the best because he seemed to be the only candidate thinking seriously about the "working class" and poor.

I was so sad when we lost Edwards for that very reason.

I voted for Obama over Clinton in the primary because of everything askye said -- but then I fell in love with him. All I keep thinking is "if he is who he says he is..."

And at the risk of getting sappy as shit, on June 6 when the paper was stuffed with "Bobby Kennedy was killed 40 years ago today" and "Barack Obama is going to be the nominee" I kept tearing up. The resemblances between them have struck me for a long time and the timing just makes it all feel a little bit like destiny. After 40 years maybe the country gets back on track.

That's why I wanted him to be a serious contender. There are so many issues effecting everyone and I could see it coming. I mean, I'm not a great predictor of anything really but I knew the housing market was going to crash and of course gas keeps going up.

I feel so bad for the people who are caught, those that live in areas without good options for public transportation, who are dealing with rising fuel costs, which means it's more expensive to heat and cool houses and to put food on the table. The current administration is just..beyond inept. It's insane.

Of course consumerism drives our society, I spend more than I should and could cut back on things but I'm very lucky and I know it. I know that plenty of people are stuck in "full time" jobs where they are only scheduled 38 hours a week because benefits kick in if they are scheduled 40 hours. I know that there are people who are working and don't have any kind of decent insurance.
