Showdown in Little Tokyo!

This is really good. Actually the quality of the copy is crap on my tv, but the movie itself is good and fun.

Dolph and Brandon Lee as mismatched cops who are partnered. Dolph plays Det. Kenner (this amuses me because he kinda looks like a Ken doll), whose parents were killed in Japan by a Yakuza and Brandon's character is totally Valley.

Anyway, there are some funny lines. And great fight sequences.

because he wears wife beaters and sleeveless shirts of all kinds, occasionally he's got on a leather jacket, but that quickly comes off.

Actually his arms must also star in his other movies, which would explain why in Bridge of Dragons all the military guys wore sleevless vests, it would have look stupid if just Dolph had so everyone had to. '

Oh and he has a nice ass. This definitely the best Dolph movie.

I ended up watching a lot of Angel this weekend, most of Season 1 (I skimmed and skipped a bit) and I'm on the beginning part of Season 2. I don't remember Kate being that annoying, but maybe it's watching her all crammed together in a few hours that's making me want to throttle her. But Wesley is so young and well even by the episodes I'm on he's changed a lot since he first showed up as a Rogue Demon Hunter. I finished watching the Shroud of Ramon. I didn't really like Wesley in the interrogation in this, but I think it was more the dialogue than the acting. Kate is majorly annoying. But DB was great as the Rat Packer vamp.

I took a break though to watch one of my Dolph movies - I couldn't finish it. I've watched Men of War, which actually wasn't too bad. There's a plot and decent actors (Catherine Bell, Thomas Gibson, BD Wong), good action scenes and shirtless Dolph. The plot is laughable (Thomas Gibson and partner want to kill all the islanders for guano), but it's better than Bridge of Dragons.

I tried to watch The Last Warrior, another post apocalyptic movie. This time there's a huge earthquake and California is split off from the continent. I'm not sure what the plot is because I couldn't watch more than 10 minutes of the movie. There is a horrible voice over. Not that Dolph has a bad voice, but omigod what he had to read was so incredibly horrible and trite. None could have saved that voice over.

The combination of percocet and my seroquel at night makes me sleep hard and deep and I was awake before 8:30 am, even though I stayed up late.

It was weird. I ended up going to the grocery store to pick up toilet paper and a few other things. I bought potatoes to make mashed potatoes and realized when I got home that I don't really feel like making them, I should have bought a tub of them. I'll do skin on potatoes, that's fairly easy.

My jaw hurts, I think I over did it the other day. I may make a heat pack.

Also went to the library to pick up my Interlibrary Loan and Showdown in Little Tokyo they were holding for me. Dolph and Brandon Lee!

The other day I watched Bridge to Dragons (or of Dragons) - but there were no bridges or dragons with Dolph. It was bad. The evil general was RueChang and he was trying to force Princess Halo to marry him. In one scene she sneaks away to do this fighting thing, stick fighting while standing on posts, it was weird. She fights Warchild (Dolph).

Then she escapes from her wedding and Warchild is sent after her. There some crappy fighting and Halo wants to raise an army to over through Ruechang (who killed her father).

There's much fighting, Dolph is briefly shirtless, there's some very chaste killing and it ends with Rue Chang's death.

The only bits to note are all of the helicopters, jeeps, trucks, etc of Ruechange have 666 on the side, but for no reason that it's explained. And his army's uniforms consist of fatigue pants and vests but no shirts so the men run around with their bare arms showing.

I have two more Dolph movies to watch besides Showdown - Men of War and The Last Warrior (which i sanother post apocalyptic) movie, hopefully it will be better than the Dragon movie.

I'm making spread sheet of all my vids and I spent some time playing around with it and finally settled on what info I wanted and decided to make hyperlinks so I could just click on the name of the vid and it would open right up.

So I did this for a bunch of vids and it was kind of tedious but I figured it would be nice later on.

Except when I went back to input more vids I clicked on one of the links and got "Cannot Open the Specified File" for every single one. I tried looking at the help but that wasn't very helpful.

This is really frustrating!

This weekend instead of being actually productive I was not really productive. After spending so much time at the F2F watching vids I decided I needed to get into gear and organize my vids and see how many are on my harddrive.

There's a lot - I can't remember the exact number but something like 400. Now some of them are duplicate-ish becuase I have the original and remastered and things like that. But I got them all labeled the way I like -- Song Title (Fandom) Vidder and then started to make a spreadsheet, but then got distracted and downloaded a bunch, so now I have to re label those. And I downloaded a couple of Pros vids so now I want to watch The Professionals, and rewatch all my shows, and finish watching Farscape -- it's a viscious circle.

I did see some vids using some techniques I hadn't before, there was one I started watching but couldn't finish -- it had MTV2 bugs on it and some scrolly thing at the bottom, at first I couldn't figure out what was going, on but then footage of the band started showing up and I realized it was more like a traditional music video and it stopped working for me. That's not what I watch vids for, it may work for some people but not me.

but I did watch some really good ones that I plan to link to when I get home. It wasn't a bad way to spend the weekend.

Back from the F2F. Really tired but not sleepy. Dreading going back to the real world and work tomorrow and no one to squee with in person.

SO MUCH FUN! Watched so many vids and had all kinds of discussions about that. Group squeed over Supernatural. seriously the best way to watch it, to hear a chorus of "Oh! Dean!"

I had Fernet, which I've acquired a taste for now. Saw Rocky Horror for the first time, although admitted to no one running the show I was a virgin (THANK GOD!). Got pretty, pretty silver nails!

Realized in looking at the Prom pictures I wore a very unflattering outfit and should have worn the dress I had. But oh well.

Also learned I sound like Angela on Bones and spent the weekend obliging people and saying things like "Hodgins." "Hodgie" and a few times I screwed it up and said "Hodges" and also variations of "Tempe, Seely is leaving you for [Unknown site tag]."

On the way back home I was bored (actually I was bored much of the trip back) and I called my voice mail and left myself a message "Hodgins. Hodgins. They say I sound like Angela. Hodgins."

and OMIGOD!!! I totally do! It's freaky. Especially when I talk slower and I'm a little hoarse.

My boys are out. They just were out played. They made stupid penalties and turnovers and now...it's over.

Holmqvuist did better than I thought he would at the start. He made some unbelievable saves and did a good job.

It just wasn't enough.

Tampa lost. They got behind and managed to tie but then got behind again. Vinnie L went to the box at least 2 times (and the Devils scored on those penalties). Vinnie should TOTALLY be up for the Hart, but he's not. Danny Boyle should get some recognition for his abilities but he's not either. Dude Vinnie has 61 goals in the regular season!!

The main problem with the Bolts is the goal tending. We do not have a #1 goal tender. The last #1 goal tender we had was Khabibulin, except the lock out happened and then he was a free agent and wanted tons of money which Tampa did not have so he went off to the Blackhawks (and had some injuries). We had John Grahame and Sean Burke, neither of which worked out, so Johnny became a free agent and Carolina snapped him up for a back up (a truly WTF decision since he wasn't doing so great as a back up) and we sent Burke down to the minors and then he went on waivers and I don't remember the whole saga but he's a King now. And we were stuck with is salary.

So then there was some weird deal that I never understood where the GM got a bunch of goalies and then traded one away and Tampa ended up with Marc Denis and Johan Holmqvuist, neither of them are #1 goalies but good back ups. So now Denis is in the press box, Homer is starting and Karri Ramo has been called up, he did well in the AHL, but he's played 70 minutes of NHL time and so he's a real unknown.

As far as I know homer's starting the next game.

Part of the problem is money. Tampa has a LOT of money tied up between Marty St Louis, Brad Richards, and Vincent LeCavalier. Marty had an unbelievable year our Cup Winning Year and hasn't played up to that yet. Brad suffered, Feaster traded Modin away and no one has really clicked. Not to mention Vaclav Prospal has had a dismal year and Fedeotenko hasn't played that well, but we do have some great young guys.

But goal tending and money will continue to be an issue.
