I'm having a slightly shitty day , made much better by nostalgia_lj's Jack/Daniel story.

I still haven't found my debit card, swear it's in the house somewhere, but I can't pay to renew LJ because I didn't have the debit card attached to paypal and evidentally they only do credit cards through paypal.

Stupid lj.

I need to pay because I need more icons. including one that says Gay Utopia OMG and SPERMZ!

I just wrote porn for the first time --ever really. It's Clark/Lex. I watched a vid, I saw Clark's lips and was inspired.

omigod! I have to go to bed. I have no idea if what I wrote is hot, it's mostly incoherent, I was just making it up on the fly. Um, if anyone wants to take a look at it and tell me what they think...if the idea is worth fleshing out (so to speak) let me know.

Actually my new speakers love carrots. Hot damn I have real speakers and they kick ASS. Let me tell you. I got the at Sam's (if we had a costco I would have looked for them there). On my computer there are all kinds of settings for speakers -- arena, alley, quarry, padded cell, underwater and I've been playing with those.

Now I have to go watch more vids...

I've found ONE back up cd. It has vids, it's a pretty early backup as well. I can't find the rest of the vid back ups, or the back ups for anything else, which sucks! because there was stuff on there that I end up deleting on the old computer due to hard drive constraints.

I've been a downloading fool and now I'm reorgnaizing my vid folder so all of the vids can go in their happy little homes. Of course while I organize I have to WATCH. And now I can squee over vids!

I downloaded vids in the past few days that I've never seen before, and I was wondering if there's any kind of vid etiquette for discussing , comparing and constrasting, etc vids in your own lj. Like, should I let the vidder know what I'm saying? Should I just put it under a friends lock so not to worry about that? Because there are some vids I'd like to say something about, but I don't particularly like them and I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

I realized I left everyone hanging about Mom's cat. He doesn't have renal failure or FIV, he does have some liver problems but the vet was stumped and suggested Mom give him 5mg of Pepcid to try and help his stomach. and said maybe he'd gotten into something toxic and was working it out of his system.

Mom took him home and he perked up, started drinking water and showing interest in food but not eating any. We gave him Pepcid and started seeing what he would eat - some bread, a bit of ham, and kibble -- but ONLY if he was hand fed. Well she gave him some canned food and he licked it dry and then nibbled on some.

Yesterday I hand fed him kibble and tried to coax him to eat out of the dish. Finally he did and ate quite a bit. Which is an improvement, Mom was getting worried because he's lost weight and you can feel his spine and some ribs. He's MUCH perkier, even showed interest in the yarn when I was practicing crocheting. And instead of curling into a tight little ball and looking miserable he's stretching out and wants to be petted. So, no idea what's wrong but it looks like he's on the mend. We are catious and I'm worried he'll take another turn for the worst. It's been very trying on Mom.

Oh! and when I was hand feeding him he started making chirpy noises that kind of sounded like he was saying "num num num". He was quite cute and we fawned over him.

My cat discovered a container of crunchies that was on the floor. The lid was loose and she managed to work it off and was pulling the crunchies out of the bottle and eating them. I left it on the floor (but on a towel) to see what she would do, and she'll go over there every so often and pull them out of the container and eat them. I'm probably more amused by this than I should be.

I've meant to get this up for a long time. There's an industry magazine about airports. And there was a Canadian issue. One of the articles is about Air Tindi, a charter comapny in Yellowknife. I don't know how helpful this is a resource, but I found it to be interesting.

I feel slightly like I'm in highschool.
One of the building services workers pulled me aside to ask if I had a boyfriend and then told me someone was interested in me. Well might be interested. We have a lot of construction guys working here right now, doing all different things and have been here for different lengths of time.

this gets me thinking...hmm...wonder who it is and omigod!!! I'm horrible and fat and omigod!! maybe he's wanting know if I have a boyfriend because who would want to hook up with me1!! (but that's just weirdness thinking).

Later I get more information. The topic of girlfirends came up and he mentioned that he liked someone or something to that effect and he walked past this person alot. I'm the only one who fits the bill and I think there was confirmation.

Now I feel weird because I don't know the guy well, he's extremely quiet and doesn't say much except hi and bye and what happened to the ice machine. He's slightly built, very quiet, and wore an embroidered Winnie the Pooh shirt when he first started working here, the shirt made it memorable. I have no idea if shew ent back and told him anything. I'm just going to pretend she didn't say anything to me and see how he acts.

I went over to Mom's after work. She took her kitty to the vet and he's really sick. There are still some test results to get back but Mom isn't really holding out hope that he'll be okay. He's such a good, sweet boy.

He's gums are white. He's got blood and protien in his urine, but there's no sign of bacteria. Mom's already made the decision that if whatever he has is terminal she'll put him to sleep.

One of the best gifts I got this year was from elenabtvs, I got it WAY Before Xmas and was instructed to wait until Xmas to open the present.

Fleecey wonderful bootie/slippers with removable heatable lavender inserts. You can't really walk in these with the inserts in, they look like eye pillows. But OMIGOD!!! Actually I heated them up a bit too long this time, but even UNHEATED my feet and calves, and everything starts to relax. I wore them on XMas day without the inserts and the booties are quite slippery, it was fun sliding around on the kitchen floor.

I must say how much I LOVE my new computer! Last night I was on IRC (and kinda got distracted by the shiny, which is better than being distracted from the "omigod please don't crash!).

There were several programs I went ahead and downloaded and installed several programs. I downloaded several vids, which I could finally watch! YAY! Including permetaform's Gravity and Fragile.

At the same time I was downloading a few songs.

Everything ran smoothly. I put the specs from my old and new compters in the comments of a previous post but I'm going to repost them here.

Old computer: 500 Mhz processer, 13 G harddrive, originally 64M RAM, but upgraded.

New Computer aka Anya: 2.1 GHz processor, 512M RAM, 160G hard drive.

It's the diffence between going from beat up old car with primer on the doors and plastic in the passener side window and no hubcabs to a sleek, pretty, affordable new car.

And I got the speakers from Sam's but I haven't plugged them in yet. I'm doing that today.
