Collected Thoughts

I taped Rescue Me but haven't watched it...since my day turned shitty I'm putting off to tomorrow. I love this show and ... I really don't think I want to read fanfic for it. Altough I may change my mind. After watching the premiere one of my first thoughts was "Someone could make an incredible vid for this."

Officially my week sucks. God I don't want to go in tomorrow, but it's Friday and I can at least wear really comfortable clothes. If I put some in the wash. And shave my legs.

Also I found out that the neighborhood cat, M (Well Mom's neighborhood cat) died a natural death. He was, the best we can figure, somewhere between 18-20 yrs old. 18 at least. He used to belong to people who lived one townhouse down from Mom, but they moved...they got a sailboat and decided to live on it...because they had two cats and one had FIV, they took the cat with FIV. M was taken care of by a variety of people. Partly Mom, partly another neighbor of hers, some people a block over. The people a block over moved and left him. So he went back to being a neighborhood cat...I'm a little misty one what happened next. But last year M kept coming back to Mom's house. He was very old looking, skinny, wrinkles around his ears, but Mom fed him and worried after him. Turns out there were 3 other households feeding him, but he never gained any weight. Mom gave him worm medicine and put Advantage on him. Finally one of the households took him in. Gave him a nice comfy bed to sleep in, took him to the vet, made sure he had lots of food and water and love. M was going blind, incontinent and there was something wrong with his hip, but he still got around.

AFter the vet visit the couple taking care of M decided that they would do everythign they could to make him comfortable and happy but wouldn't try to ever prolong his life.


About 2 weeks ago the man went outside and saw M having a seizure. He took M inside when it was over, put him in his bed, got him some water, and then petted him until M was purring. There was a phone call and the man went to get it. When he got back M was dead.

Even when M was scrawny, limping, and with wrinkly ears and barely able to meow, he still managed to dominate Mom's cat. Mom's cat (big heavy fella) would take one look at M and run for cover.

I'm at work right. When I get home I plan on answering everyone who has asked the LJ buddies meme.

And I'm asking it here...
Part of being on Livejournal.com is inevitably gaining a number of LJ buddies. Unfortunately, as time wears on, it's easy to forget where all of them came from. Post this in your journal and have your friends respond with how they recall first 'meeting' you.


Also --- I'm officially a student again! I'm enrolled in Argument and Persuasion, Tuesdays 6-8:45.

I'll probably start resenting have one class that long but there really wasn't any other option. Well, okay there were other options, but this was the best one for me to do GPA repair AND get a core class out of the way.

Friday my pay check wasn't in the mail. That's fine, I didn't look again until Sunday. No check.

So I figure when I get home--paycheck!

I get home at roughly quarter to 6 and the mail hasn't come yet. I know because the little flag is up showing the mail hasn't be picked up.

Sometime after 7 I head out to get a Diet coke and CHOCOLATE !! Because, yes, it's that time of the month.

When I get back teh mail hasn't come. Finally before 8 I go back out. The mail has arrived!

I reach in to find the latest Lush Times and some envelopes, these turn out to be junk mail.

No check.

I KNOW I turned my time sheet into the temp agency. I KNOW that I turned in my coworker's time sheet and he got paid, but through direct deposit. So tomorrow I'm going to call and find out where my check is. I know, I know I should do direct deposit, but I couldn't find my check book and I don't have the form they gave me (that they've given me THREE TIMES) and...it's such a mess.

I hate today. I'll probably hate tomorrow as well.

oh and I have to get all my shit out of my car so I can take it to the body shop. It's full of stuff that ended up in my car but now I have no idea where to put in the house.

Part of me wants to say I can't come in but I've had to miss work for various reasons and I don't want to be known as someone who shirks.

Tonight at 10 FX is replaying last week's epsiode of Rescue Me.

So if you've thought about checking it out, but haven't here's your chance.

Now I have to go set up to tape it.

This afternoon I was rear ended for the second time this week. Wednesday it was a mild bump.

Today I was at a red light and eased forward a little even though the light was still red adn the woman behind me went forward --- my car stopped hers. Luckily she wasn't going fast, but she was watching me instead of watching the light. We waited about an hour for the police to come and he was nice. It's all automated or something because I just have to contact my insurance and let them know what happened and the report number and that it wasn't my fault.

I have a plastic container to store my comics in but it's gotten full. Um, all those cheap back issues I bought...anyway I need something else/better to store them in and I'm not sure what. I really don't want one of those card board boxes...what do y'all use to store your comics in?

I only had those pulls this week. It felt weird. Of course I ended up buying a back issue. And the guy who works there rec'd Superman but I resisted because...well it was part 4 of 4 so I didn't want to buy the other back issues.

This Christmas Mom got a universal remote to run everything (plus she lost the remote tot he dvd player) but it lost the programming some how and now I can't figure out how to reprogram one. Are they basically all the same?

The local sports channel is showing Tampa Bay!!!! whoot!!!

I swear I did a search for Hockey a few days ago and nothing really came up. Search on zap2it.com I mean.

Ooooohhhh! and on Monday there are player profiles on Andre Roy(!) and Ben Clymer. I've been hoping they'd replay the Roy profile.

Also has anyone seen the premiere of Rescue Me?

I watched parts of it last night and I'm going to watch the show. I don't really watch The Shield or Nip/Tuck so the language kind of surprised me, I forget that FX gets away with a lot.
