I swear I was going to bed over an hour ago. But instead I made my way through the Nightwing comics. (I probably could have read slower)

Holy fucking shit!!!

For now that is all.

I didn't watch Angel tonight. I was torn but in the end, I just...I don't want it to end and I'm worried that I'll be uncomfortable with the ending. Despite my computer problems I am downloading episodes...one at a time, and then defragging so I have harddrive space again.

Probably not what my computer needs, but damnit! this is one reason I got broadband.

Bought more comic books than I should today. The Outsiders and GCPD. I went to a different comic shop, they had all the back issues in bags. Not like the other place where the past issues I found were just behind the current issues. I'm not sure about the third place where I got Wonder Woman, because I wasn't really looking at individual issues.

I haven't been around much and I'm going to be around less. I do have some access at work but, obviously, I can't read any fic there. Especially not the Ray/Ray stories I haven't read yet.

PORN!

My computer at home is acting worse and worse. I think installing Norton taxed it too much. But tonight when I came home it gave me fits and wouldn't start right. And I'm just tired of this. I don't know when I can get a new computer. There's stuff I want to read but, well can't.

What's doubly frustrating is that I'm limping along with this computer that just well...limps...And Dad recently bought a kick ass computer that he pretty much just plays Freecell on. He does a few other things but that's it. He was talked into getting Wi Fi, but he has to get the hardware installed. He bought the hardware about a month ago and it's just sitting there. Like his computer because it's not a priorty for him.

The last time I was on mIRC my computer froze up and I just decided not to wait around for the long start up time to say that my computer messed up and I'd be signing off for the night.

I probably could do a bit more than I think but I just get tired of waiting for my computer to work.

So...there will be less of me and I'll probably be trimming down my friendslist again. Just because.

As an addition to my last post...

I actually bought Robin Year One and Robin Reborn. I still had them in my car so I checked when I went to run an errand during lunch.

This weekend I plan on taking my comic books to the beach and while Mom takes a nap and reads her latest mystery I'll lie on the floor and read my comics. It will be a lot like when summers when I was little and my brother and I would go over and hang out with my cousin at my great aunt's beach place and we'd read comics. My cousin had an oversized Star Wars one. I can't really remember anything about it except it was larger than other comic books and the cover picture was the same as the promotional poster.

You know, the one where Leia is clinging to Luke in a very non sistery way. Unless it's Special Hell sistery.

I loved going to the beach...well I still do...but it's not the same as when I was a kid. We'd play out all day on the beach, or in the afternoons after fishing. We'd go inside to play monopoly or read comics when it rained or it was too hot.

Of course I always lost at monopoly because my cousins invented "team" monopoly. Where my older 2 cousins and my brother and our other cousin would team up and I would play by myself. When I talk about it now it doesn't seem like there'd be that much of an advantage but 2 heads are better than one and they would psyche me out.

But I miss it because although it was frustrating that whole time is full of great childhood memories.

Going to the beach this weekend w/Mom for Mother's Day. YAY that especially since I thought at the last minute it would be cancelled.

Of course the Tampa Bay/Philly game is Saturday at 3 pm. I was going to tape it but--my VCR is broken!!!! I put a tape in and it pops right back out. I felt around inside the VCR and looked and it doesn't seem like anything is stuck in it. I think it's broken for good. I don't know what I'm going to do about the hockey game, but it is time for a new VCR and I'm going to either buy a cheap on at Target or see if I can get a deal on one at a pawn shop near the university.

Also going over to my friend E's. I haven't seen her in almost 2 weeks at this point. I really need to start trying to download the Angel episodes again since she's relying on me and I've fallen down.

In other news I finally watched Dress to Kill. Eddie!! For some reason I had to stop it and didn't watch the end. Also some of the material was similiar to what he did in Circle but it's still funny and I would have more to say but...

Wednesday I bought more graphic novels and comic books. I got 2 back issues of Batgirl that I don't have...issue 30 and 31. I have some of that are numbered in the 40s but I couldn't remember which ones so I picked up really early ones.

Plus I got Robin: Year One and Batman: A death in the Family. I think I got Death in the Family. I know I bought two graphic novels but I looked at a lot of the Batman titles.

Last weekend I went to a comic book store I hadn't been to before and they had a good selection. There's another I need to hit...they are strictly comic books and gaming books and I need to stop by there and see what kind of selection they have.

I forgot to ask about The Outsiders but I really didn't need to spend more money.

I'm hungry and slightly bored.

Lunch was ham sandwich, chips, soda. It should have filled me up but I need one more little morsel of something...but I really don't want t hand more money over to the vending machine. I need to bring snacks to work.

Also I'm slightly bored. There are a few minor things I have to do but first I need to clarify something with the head supervisor and she's at a meeting. There are lots of meetings.

I did just share a nice laugh with the electrical contractors...they promised this would be the last time they are crawling around in the ceiling, but I have to admit I'll miss the background noise of voices.

My computer at home is becoming increasingly more erratic. While installing Norton certainly helped it's one more program that has to be loaded and a drain on my dwindling hard drive space. I managed to free up as much as I could by dumping most of my mp3s and the screencaps I've grabbed from various places. But it simply isn't enough. I start saving money for a new computer when I get back from the b.org F2F.

I really miss chatting in #discourse but, again, mIRC is a drain on my system and having that open, as well as a browser or two along with the other programs running (Norton, AIM) my computer has a tendancy to freeze or crash. Or both.

Some point back in discourse I saw a discussion for AIM chat but I'm not sure what happened, if there is/was one. I'd certainly like to try and see if I can chat that way. Although I'm much more of a fan of IRC chat than using AIM.

Fannishly the only thing I'm doing is reading comics--Bats! and Wonder Woman! Whoo!!! Really, really well done and amazing. Batman Year One, Batgirl Year One & A Knight Alone, and Wonder Woman Hikitea (and the current issues of Batgirl). Plus I've read The Killing Joke. I didn't like the art work in Batman Year One so that kind of put me off a bit.

The Killing Joke's pictures are amazing. And disturbing. Seriously freaky some of what goes on in there. But slashy! I was surprised at how slashy Batman and Joker were together. It was kind of like Angel/Lindsey but the hate turned up a bunch of notches. Plus Lindsey was never psychotic and homicidal. But still the whole I wanna kill you wanna fuck you thing was there.

Whoops! Break's over.

I really want to know who's been selling my name to telemarketers because I'm STILL on the call list for lower mortage payments and consolidating my credit cards.

Of course I don't own a house or have credit cards. And they are always *schocked*, shocked, I tell you, that my name was given to them when I can't use their services.

Fannishly---I watched Touching Evil. Broke my heart in bitty pieces.

I found out that if I keep it quiet I can play music at my desk (I'm the receptionist so my desk is out front. But really, no one comes up here. Oh and I answer the phones a lot, but that's what mute is for).

I meant to talk about Angel. I didn't tape it, because I was lazy and well I downloaded the last two.

So about Time Bomb---Read more... )

Bolts win!!!! YES!!!

While last night's game wasn't as exciting as Game 3 it was still a nailbiter at times.  But they won!!! I just wish I could have switched back and forth between ESPN and Sunshine Network (which wasn't airing the game...ESPN was doing an exclusive airing). Because Sunshine focuses more on Tampa Bay and shows some of the fights and I wanted to see all of that.

I have not had this much fun watching a game since...well okay probably since the last exciting game the Bolts played.

No. Wait. Who cares! The Habs were bastards to the team...cheap shots and penalties but then...Vinnie (who they booed everytime he touched the puck) stole the win out from under them and pushed into over time.

4-3 in OT. Khabibulin did a great job. Okay, so he gave up three goals but one of them was tipped off the skate of Marty. And he made great saves. I really want him to get shut out #4 soon.
