...okay maybe a little, but I wasn't trying for Kate.

Katharine Hepburn
You scored 21% grit, 28% wit, 38% flair, and 16% class!
You are the fabulously quirky and independent woman of character. You go your own way, follow your own drummer, take your own lead. You stand head and shoulders next to your partner, but you are perfectly willing and able to stand alone. Others might be more classically beautiful or conventionally woman-like, but you possess a more fundamental common sense and off-kilter charm, making interesting men fall at your feet. You can pick them up or leave them there as you see fit. You share the screen with the likes of Spencer Tracy and Cary Grant, thinking men who like strong women.

I've watched all teh episodes on the second disc except Kill Huggy Bear! I love the title, but I think it needs to be in those shaky letters and in red. Actually, I've watched part of it, just the set up part no one has decided to kill Huggy yet.

I've noticed that Hutch seems to be shirtless and wet quite a bit, almost every other episode it seems. I can't remember all the episodes on the first disc, but I know in the pilot you see Hutch in the shower, getting out of the shower, and then going into the steam room (Starsky is in the steam room with a towel on. Also Starsky climbs up on the steam room steps and sits sort of next to the criminal they are talking to, but also so his knees are about eye level with Hutch. I don't think Starsky tries too hard to be demure and keep his knees together.) Then there was teh episode where two hit men were out there trying to scare them more than kill them and they ended up in the pool. Then in the laundry room....in towels and damp (and shirtless I think).

In this disc we have The Fix -- poor Hutch! Kidnapped, drugged up, tortured, and then goes through withdrawl. But also, we see him coming out of the bathroom after he finally gets a shower, shirtless and damp. Then in
Pariah (Starksy's accused of shooting an innocent teenager) we see Hutch just getting out of the shower and in a towel, then in his jeans and still slightly damp, and finally he goes back to the bathroom and comes back out --- just pulling on his shirt.

Now, I am not complaining at all. David Soul is very nice to look at. However, I think it's ...interesting. Or amusing. Or both.

Also, we haven't seen where Starsky lives. Do we get to that point? I hope so.

6-0. Grahame made 15 saves -- the whole game! I think the official shot tally was 36-15!

Marty scored, Freddie scored twice, both Vinnies scored (Prospal and Lecavalier), Feds scored! Not in that order though.

In the last four minutes or so Boulton elbowed Ranger hard, I didn't see it at first, I just saw Ranger go down and stay down not moving. I have no idea what his injury is, but Boulton got 5 for elbowing and a game misconduct.

Vinne Lecavalier picked up 3 assists along with the goal, Brad Richards got 2 assists. Vinnie's goal was unassisted. Ranger, Kubina, and Andreychuk got assists!

Atlanta ended the game wtih 35 penalty minutes and Tampa had 8. The Lightning spent a lot of time on the power play.

I'm so excited. Over estimated what some of my bills would be and I underestimated my pay check and I have money! Not a lot mind, but some. Gas was $2.62/gallon regular unleaded when I went to work, hopefully it will be the same and I can fill up.

I called my shrink to see if I could get samples for my meds, I don't think he's going to call back in time for me to get stuff for this month, but maybe I can for next month.

So! I have money for a new pair of shoes (cheap) and maybe some new clothes. I haven't been out to the new Target yet and hopefully they have more than 4 racks of plus size clothes and maybe sale. I'll still hit Goodwill, and Wal mart. I hate to shop there, I do, but it's what I can afford.

After work I'm also stopping by Big Lots --- for a video tape so I can tape Tampa tonight. I'm not exactly sure WHY I tape stuff since I do'nt rewatch it that often, but at some point I might need it. It's my version of hording plastic margarine tubs I guess.

I'm exhausted, I haven't been going to bed soon enough. Tonight it will be an early night. I'm worried about money, Dragon Cona nd then missing for being sick has really put me in a bind.I wouldn't change it, but still.

When I saw my shrink last he said that if there was ever a problem getting medicine to call and they'd get me samples. I meant to call this morning and yesterday but I fnally called and left a message. I asked if they could give me some samples, hopefully they will.

That's $80 I could put toward...my past due phone bill, my past due electric bill, or groceries. Also since I didn't sign a lease right away and then my land lady decided she wanted a security deposit I'm stuck with that. I can't even give her $100 extra a month so I'm giving her $50 extra a month. I just need to get a little caught up and I'll be fine.

I'm trying to decide if I want to go watch hockey at Dad's. Mom watches...Amazing Race on Tuesdays so no hockey.

I think if I can get clothes for work in the dryer I'll go.

Yesterday Mom asked if I had to watch every hockey game. I told her yes, I'm making up for lost time.

This morning the alarm woke me up and I was bargining with myself as I kept hitting snooze (next time it goes off I'll get up. promise...okay maybe the next time...) when I heard a THUD! from somewhere around the back of the house. Woke me up, Anna jumped up and went into a defensive crouch (if you have a cat you know what I mean...) and being startled awake I tried to figure if someone was in the house. Intellectually I knew that was impossible because I couldn't hear anyone moving around, and the house is small enough that you can always hear someone moving.

But Anna didn't calm down, so I got up and investigated to prove to myself no one was there. And nobody was. The back door was locked. Anna didn't calm down and I gave up on sleeping. It was a weird feeling.

I think maybe a branch fell on the roof, or maybe a very fat squrriel.

The dream I was having prior to waking up didn't help me.

I dreamed of sharks. Big giant sharks. Well, one big giant shark. The beginning of my dream I was up high in the air with someone...we were on balcony or floating or something. There was a woman below us on a dock, but the water was rising above the dock and she didn't get up, just kept sunbathing, and a shark was right there --- it lunged from below and then me and whoever I was with flew away. Or tried to fly, it was sort of running on water and trying to get away from the giant shark.

We made several close escapes from the shark and then were in this werid raft thing (it had a roof, v. weird) by land! but it was an almost sheer cliff that had rocks that were very loose, but I'd had enough and took my chances on the cliff. But the rocks started falling away and I couldn't get my footing, and someone stuck their hand down to help me and I thought "His name is Balthasar Getty and I'm going to die." and then the noise woke me up.

My mind is a strange place.

I think I've lost another pound. This is good. I'm not trying to lose weight but I'm definitly not gaining. Also good. The only changes I've made are 1) vegetarian at home and 2) not eating out for the most part. If Mom wants to take me out... YAY! But other than that no eating out. Still snacking, but I'm getting better. Splurged for Kashi Go Lean and have eaten that in the mornings with Soy milk...however soy milk doesn't exactly agree with me so my next step is either breakfast/granola bars or try lactose free milk.

This afternoon I had a late lunch and now left overs for tomorrow and the next day. I made a bean and corn dish over home made corn bread. My oven doesn't heat properly so the corn bread ended up under done, which I'd rather have than over done. I'm now on the prowl for an oven thermometer.

Have no idea what to call this but here's what I made dinner recipe )

Today was a beautiful day. Mom and I got the last of the windows unstuck, but discovered that 2 of the eye hooks for the screens aren't right so we have to get new ones. On one window the eye is too close to the screen and on the other it's too far away. BUT we can't just switch out the screens because the top brackets aren't spaced the same.

home stuff )

Chicago Loop Dvd set came Friday. I sat down and watched it all. THe first vid I watched was Hotel California because I'd heard so much about it and I've been dying to watch it. The vid is brilliant. I checked out the first disc of The Prisoner because I've forgotten a lot of the show and I know that the vid will make more sense when I can remember things about it.

I know I watched other vids by the same vidder, the only one I can think of is the Buffy vid...I hesitated because of the song, but again, it's a brilliant vid. It's a Natalie Imbruglia song...the one that was really popular...It's Buffy and Angelus and completely heartbreaking.

Plus there's a bonus bit of The Tick -- keen!

I was pissy last night because Sun Sports delayed showing the Tampa bay game to do a post game show on LSU And Flordia. Florida lost, LSU won. Sun Sports has all kinds of coverage and post game stuff during the week. I have to watch the game. I meant to do that today, maybe tomorrow after work. I did catch the end of the game when it was half time for the FSU game. They won! I was so excited! FSU lost, which is disappointing, but they kept getting the same stupid penalities.

OLN's broadcast looks better. They adjusted the white and so you can see everything better. And whatever was going on with the audio is mostly fixed. The audio during the game I mean. One mic was staticy, I noticed that before they started calling the game when they were just talking. And on mic for the ice is too sensitive or something because when the players skate by the sound of the skating threatens to drown the announcers out.

However, the weird ass delay they have in the studio is still happening. It's not off enough to look dubbed, but just enough so it's not synched right and it gives me a headache.

They had Crosby mic'd. I discovered this when I was flipping between OLN and Sun Sports. I only heard him say "good play", I would have liked to hear him say more. I wonder who else they'll mic.

Sun Sports on the other hand, they're having sound issues. The announcers don't stay audiable the whole time, it's weird...like in Singing in the Rain when Lena keeps moving her head back and forth. It's not that bad, but kinda like that.

However, I'm not watching either game at Dad's. I'm home. I went to wash my hands after having some popcorn and when I looked in the mirror I discovered that my period started. Great. So I came home. I'm taping the Tampa game anyway. I think I'll be able to "acquire" the Pens game tomorrow.
