I had this nice post last night and then I lost my internet connection. I laughed all the way through Duet, very funny very good.

Today I found a way to make money for Dragon Con! Thank god! I'm not sure how much I'll end up with but hopefully at least $100.

More on Duet when I'm not at work.

First, I need to brush off my hockey icons.

Second -- Khabibulin is no longer a Bolt. He's gone off to Chicago for a 4 yr $27 million deal. I know they picked up a goalie in the draft.

Third, today I read a couple of pieces pointing out that Tampa couldn't afford Marty, Vinny, and Nik. Some one would have to go. 1 writer didn't say who, the other was adamant that it should be Marty. Nik is needed at net, Vinny is the cornerstone of the team (According to this person, I think I'd dispute that) and Marty's size will be a liability. Plus he's old. Marty's 30. Yes, it's sports, yes that's getting up there, but all the big name free agents signd are 30+.

I'll be glad when hockey starts, I miss it.

Tamp Bay has not made any big moves in the past two days. It's driving me nuts.

Last week I read speculation that Khabibulin wasn't going anywhere, he'd want another shot at the Cup, he likes Tampa, etc.

The other day it was Khabibulin may be going to Phoenix, he was there before, lives there in the off season, his wife and kid are there year round, and he just some big ass mansion.

Today the rumor is Khabby's going to Chicago, that they need a goalie and they've got the money.

The only thing I know for sure is Cory Stillman's a Hurricane now.

And there's a guy I've been dealing with over the phone today named Corey and I keep refering to him as Cory Stillman to my co workers and then having to correct myself. As soon as I explianed Stillman's a hockey player their eyes glazed over.

I got more books from Dad--- I really had no idea I had so many! I don't have enough shelf space. I think I'm going to box the children's stuff up so the grown up books will have room.

Anyway, I was looking through them, rather amazed at what I have...when I ran across Felix Holt by GEorge Eliot, I bought it several months back from my favorite used book store and promptly forgot I had it. Flipping through it I found someone's voter's registration card that was mailed in 1992. I've found various odd things in books --- I love finding things in the pages of books--- but I think this is one of the more interesting finds.

Does anyone have one of those Food Saver deals? I just got one and the instructions and video that came with it weren't as helpful as I could wish for.

Like, they talk about using it to save leftovers, in the infomercials (and maybe on the shopping network) they show leftovers on a plate, like a frozen dinner. So I tried that. First, I shouldn't have used a dish so wet (it was kind of a casserole thing) or maybe I should have frozen it first. But I couldn't tell what kind of plates were being used, I thought it looked like regular plastic plates, but the one I used warped quite badly.

I looked on line but I couldnt' seem to find any hints or tips. Well, one site that wanted me to pay for hints.

So, should I buy some cheap acrylic plates and use those? I assume those are microwavable.

I wanted the Food Saver for the saving part. Too much stuff I end up buying spoils because I can't eat it fast enough.

But also, I'm trying really hard to take lunch to work. I wanted to try cooking on the weekends and making enough for lunch for the whole week.
