I've messed up my money this month. Just a little. I think I'll be okay though.

I spent more than I should because -- oh! I need this! and oh! Look at that! Plus I ate out which I said I wasn't going to do AT ALL. Damn, I still have library fines to pay off...

Anyway. I looked at what I have after my insurane (health) has been taken out and I have roughly $70. I get paid next week and I need gas. Obviously, I can make it to next week -- I've got enough food and if I fill my tank I won't have a gas issue.

However, my next pay check is going to be 12 hrs short. 8 because of Memorial Day. And then 4 when I left early. I'll have to pay rent and car insurance out of that and then make it until the end of the month. I'll get paid the 17th and then again on the 1st

Although I realized that, if I don't send my rent check in the mail until Thursday I should be okay. Because I get paid on Thursday (direct deposit) and it will take a bit for my land lady to deposit the check so I'll be cool. I mean I'll still have my phone bill and my cable bill (whcih this month was $.15) And my credit card payment, but I think it will all work out.

Next month I'll get a better idea of what my bills are going to be, I'm just not sure right now since I paid deposits, etc. Plus for the next few months my phone bill will be higher becuase of fees for transfering my line and the DSL fees.

God, I hope my utility bill isn't high. I've tried to be really good with running water and doing laundry and keeping the thermostat up high. It kept running last night and now I'm wondering if I had windows left open or something -- I'll have to check when I get home. I feel like my a/c runs alot but 73F is the lowest I've kept it recently. That sounds kind of high, bu the house stays amazingly cool and it hasn't been a problem.


I also realized I wasted $20 this month due to drinks from the machine and snacks at work. That has to be cut out ASAP.

Right before I moved I got several dvds from Netflix (three of which are missing, but that's another issue) and one was Sayuki. I've only watched two episodes. I kind of like it, but anime is different. The movement, etc. And I have to pay more attention because of the subtitles -- with something like Atlantis I don't have to look right at it because I can follow the dialouge, but with this I have to watch. I like it okay. Maybe if I watch more I'll be more into it. But it's interesting.

Finished watching! Even went back and watched Posioning the Well but not the Jeni episode.

The finale rocked hard. I hated the Colonel guy at first, I mean that's Weir! And Teyla! you do not dismiss them. But then he sort of came around. Too bad he died.

And Rodney. My love for Rodney just continues, the whole freak out in the space suit (both times) then Grodin getting him to do the repair work by questioning his abilities. And then Grodin. I was thinking, before I watched this, that I hoped he had more air time.

The actress playing Weir bothers me, she just doesn't seem to be...not exceptional. I like Teyla better. Plus she popped Bates in the mouth. Which was amusing.

I actually need to do some work so I'll write up more thoughts later.

I had Mom over for dinner.

EJ came over and saw everything, she couldn't stay for dinner. But it was so cool to show my house off.

After dinner I was showing Mom something and noticed that there's a HUGE gardenia bush in the side yard, well over growing into the side yard. There aren't a lot of full blooms right now, but there are buds that are about to burst open. I picked some for the table and the bedroom. They smell so good.

There's confedarate jasmine next to the front door, rather scraggly looiking but I think if I give it plant food it might do better.

And agapanthus (totally guessed on that). There are two plants that are about to bloom. I know Grandma is taking one, I hope she leaves the other.

Oh, and these really cool flowers that I don't know the name of and suck at describing.

I was starting to go through serious withdrawl. But I'm back. And y'all are back and I'm happy making now.

I'm sitting here in my jammies, eating Chinese, catching up on -- oh, everything -- and I have my shades done so I can see out but it's hard to see in, and there's a cardinal on the birdfeeder out there. I need to get bird seed The other day there was a pigeon just hanging out on the ground.

I should get a birdbath for out front as well.

Dear Gods of the Internets --

Please let the DSL modem be waiting for me when I get home! Otherwise I'll start crawling the walls and may cry.

I'm moved! And very sore. I was hobbling around Sunday, Monday and this morning barely able to straighten my legs my calves screaming at me. And yet, I pushed myself Sunday and Monday. It's all the trips to the house and up the stairs. There aren't that many but after all the trips it adds up. There's stuff still in my car I just had no energy to bring back in. I used some generic muscle rub and it's helped.

I didn't have internet access all weekend. There was a major screw up and Comcast didn't close out my cable order and put in my internet order. But actually the problem started with the guy I talked to last week about getting internet -- he didn't tell me I had to register my modem and pick out a plan and he didn't take money and I should have realized that was wrong, but I was so busy with calls to the carpet cleaners, the phone company, etc. I discovered this Saturday night -- I talked to 2 people who couldn't find my account and couldn't give me answers. Then I called back and talked to someone who could find my account and gave me all the correct info but told me to call back on Sunday and yes everything could be taken care of. Call on Sunday talk to someone who can't find my account, hang up, call again, this person finally managed to get my account, but the sales office was closed and blah blah. I was so frustrated I called Sprint.

Mom's been having connection issues for months with Comcast and she keeps getting jerked around and she's ready to switch. She's gotten two months taken off her bill becuase she hasn't had service for the majority of them.

I digressed.

My place looks a little empty but it would without all Grandma's stuff (seriously it was packed full). I have plenty of storage except for the kitchen and that's going to drive me nuts.

But I love my place and it's wonderful. I have pictures I need to post and I'll get those up asap.

Not HouseMD but My house!

The cable is hooked up, I should have internet over there. New cables were put in as the others looked like rats and squirrels had been using them for chew toys.

Mom and Other Mother got the ceiling painted. Mom got ambtious and painted the closet. OM took down all the hardware from the valances, cleaned some. I cleaned the basebaords, not all of them. I needed better supplies. Seriously filthy. They went from looking yellowish and brownish to looking more white.

I took pictures, but I didn't go to Mom's to upload them.

Tomorrow is house painting. I don't think I'll get to work on the furniture again until this weekend. Dad offered to come help paint - I said sure! Mom now hopes to get most of it done before he shows up. My parents, they are different, I can barely see them married. The main problem is Mom works fast and a little sloppy. Dad's slower. He just moves slower and talks slower. I really take after Mom.

Okay, I'm going to go work on stuff and not get online -- - ep3 of Atlantis is almost finished downloading. Maybe I'll reward myself with it tomorrow.
